After the tropical storms of early June the sun has returned and Phuket is back to its full glory. The rainy season is just like this and it makes a great time of year to enjoy Phuket without the crowds.
However if you get a wet day there are plenty of things to explore, just take a trip into the Old Phuket Town and enjoy a day of exploring the traditional life of Phuket. Tanon Talang and Soi Rommanee are a good place to start but is worth a trip to the Tourist Office to pick up a map of the area to get the most of all the different attractions. There are some great restaurants to enjoy lunch, as well as a variety of shops and museums. Then if the sun starts to shine its not far to the beach!
