What happened to Phuket's rainy season?

It is really hard to believe, with blue skies and temperatures up in the 30's, that this is Phuket's rainy season! The weather is actually much better than it was in March and April! 

Tsunami Detecting Radar System for Phuket

Several months have now passed since the horrific tsunami in Japan, more than a year since the 8.8 earthquake in Chile and almost 7 years since the tsunami of 2004. Everyday people still ask me about what happened hear in Phuket, for some it's still a hard story to tell, I was luckier. So today it was good to see the news of a radar system to be installed here in Phuket and other provinces of Thailand.


All said I hope we never need it!

The rainy season is here again!

The rainy season, which recently has been renamed as the 'Green Season' and then renamed as the 'Summer Season' is for most of us still the 'rainy season' . For any of you that have been to Phuket at this time of year, you will already know that 'rainy' is also 'sunny' and that the weather can be just as beautiful as the 'high season'.  Personally, though, the stormy skies are much more exciting than the perfect blue ones and always make a great photo and draw a lot of comments!
